CRANE Nuclear to Showcase Trusted Valve Testing Solutions at American Nuclear Society’s 2011 Utility Working Conference

Kennesaw, GA, USA (August 9, 2011) – From August 14-18, CRANE Nuclear will present its trusted brands of fluid handling products at the American Nuclear Society’s annual Utility Working Conference in Hollywood, Florida (Booth #403). CRANE Nuclear, designer and manufacturer of a variety of valves, valve parts and valve testing equipment for domestic and international nuclear power plants, will display its VOTES® Infinity Valve Diagnostic System and nuC™ Stem Force Sensor.

“CRANE Nuclear’s VOTES® Infinity and nuC™ Stem Force Sensor are two of our valve testing products that offer features and benefits that speak directly to the theme of this year’s Utility Working Conference (‘Innovations for Continued Safe, Secure and Competitive Nuclear Operation’), and we look forward to presenting them amongst the many other notable innovations of the industry,” said Kirk Kelhofer, President, CRANE Nuclear.

VOTES® Infinity Valve Diagnostic System
CRANE Nuclear’s VOTES® Infinity Valve Diagnostic System is a lightweight, user-friendly tool that features an easy-to-use platform that less experienced users can successfully grasp. Utilizing patent-pending “ASSIST™ Technology” (Automatic Sensor Setup Intelligence for System Transducers), the VOTES® Infinity automatically detects the sensors, configures the system, acquires the data and loads it, thus minimizing test and analysis times, as well as human performance errors.

nuC™ Stem Force Sensor
The nuC™ Stem Force Sensor is a portable valve sensor device that measures thrust by sensing the expansion and contraction of the valve stem as force is applied.  Featuring a portable, compact design, this water resistant and durable sensor can fit a wide range of valve configurations and is not easily damaged during normal use.  Additionally, the nuC™ Stem Force Sensor eliminates signal drift, thereby eliminating any time dependent accuracy issues.

CRANE’s Technical Paper No. 410 (TP-410)
CRANE will display and raffle off several copies of its Technical Paper No. 410 (TP-410).  Published by Crane Valve Group and marketed and distributed by Engineered Software Inc.’s Flow of Fluids, the TP410 is a technical resource for engineers, designers and engineering students that explains the flow of fluid through valves, pipes and fittings to aid in the appropriate selection of equipment for piping systems.
